And the Bridge collapses...

But I am already sitting in a boat.

So, looks like Kohala's China tour plans fell through. I have no job, and no reason to go to China... Aside from the fact that I have already spent almost $2000 on plane tickets. So I'm gonna go anyway. I hate to sound cliche, but everything does seem to happen for a reason, since everything inevitably leads to something else.

To tell you the truth, I have always wanted to go on an adventure. I saw friends and family go off and travel on their own and I always said "I'll do that someday, when I'm ready". Well, why bother waiting?! If you start waiting you'll never really be ready. That's what I am telling myself now at least.

Well, this means I don't have to buy an expensive camera and worry about it being stolen. I won't have to carry too many valuables on me, a great relief since I will probably get robbed on this trip. I could just leave all my really expensive stuff in Tokyo and travel with the bare necessities.

I probably don't have to buy an insanely expensive backpack either. Ooo, and now I can take much more leisurely trips if I want to.

This is not a set back just an opportunity to go in a different direction. “The correct path is the one that offers the greatest number of possibilities.” (Quang Chow)

It will probably be pretty crazy, and it sounds like you're going into this without knowing or planning in advance plenty of things you'll regret not knowing or planning later.

That said, it also sounds like with no responsibilities, no expensive equipment, few deadlines, and fewer expectations, you've got nothing to lose and quite possibly a lot to gain.
